Good for You and Good to the Last Drop
You may find that one of the things you miss most when dieting are those delicious, high-calorie, high-sugar, dessert-like coffee house drinks! Here is an alternative that is not just low-calorie and low-sugar, but tasty and even good for you! The best part is there’s hardly any caffeine so you can even get away with drinking it at night.
Dirty Chai Latte
For this you will need:
4oz freshly brewed black decaf coffee (any kind you want, though vanilla tastes great with chai)
4oz skim milk
1 bag of chai tea
1-2 packets of artificial sweetener (optional)
A dollop of whipped cream
cinnamon
While you’re brewing your coffee, heat your milk in the microwave for about a minute to a minute and a half. When the milk is done, allow the tea bag to steep in the milk for a few minutes. Chai tea is good for you because of it’s natural antioxidants and it has less than half of the caffeine of coffee. Pour your coffee, then add the tea/milk combination and your sweetener.
