Sweeten it up Naturally with Fruit

There is nothing more beneficial to the body than three to four servings of fruit per day. Most of us do not get that requirement, and so at times, we miss the real opportunities to enjoy it as we should. There are some good ways to do this that are healthy delicious as well.

Fruit smoothies are one of the best ways to enjoy all kinds of ways in a cold and creamy concoction. It is as simple as mixing fruit, milk, juice, or even soymilk and yoghurt and ice together and drink. Smoothies have a wonderful health benefit, as folks who ingest more of them lose more weight and get more calcium and Vitamins C and D. You just can’t beat it.

Another way to make sure to get all the benefits of fruit is the use of fruit purees in cooking. We know we can sweeten baked goods with sweet potato, apple and prune purees, as well as apricot, mango, and even pineapple. They all make baked goods moist, and have an additional health benefit.

Finally, the use of adding raisins, apples, apricots, grapes, and even pears and berries to salad increases the flavor of salad, and fiber as well. Eat up!
