There is nothing more beneficial to the body than three to four servings of fruit per day. Most of us do not get that requirement, and so at times, we miss the real opportunities to enjoy it as we should. There are some good ways to do this that are healthy delicious as well.

Fruit smoothies are one of the best ways to enjoy all kinds of ways in a cold and creamy concoction. It is as simple as mixing fruit, milk, juice, or even soymilk and yoghurt and ice together and drink. Smoothies have a wonderful health benefit, as folks who ingest more of them lose more weight and get more calcium and Vitamins C and D. You just can’t beat it.

Another way to make sure to get all the benefits of fruit is the use of fruit purees in cooking. We know we can sweeten baked goods with sweet potato, apple and prune purees, as well as apricot, mango, and even pineapple. They all make baked goods moist, and have an additional health benefit.

Finally, the use of adding raisins, apples, apricots, grapes, and even pears and berries to salad increases the flavor of salad, and fiber as well. Eat up!

You may find that one of the things you miss most when dieting are those delicious, high-calorie, high-sugar, dessert-like coffee house drinks! Here is an alternative that is not just low-calorie and low-sugar, but tasty and even good for you! The best part is there’s hardly any caffeine so you can even get away with drinking it at night.

Dirty Chai Latte

For this you will need:
4oz freshly brewed black decaf coffee (any kind you want, though vanilla tastes great with chai)
4oz skim milk
1 bag of chai tea
1-2 packets of artificial sweetener (optional)
A dollop of whipped cream
cinnamon

While you’re brewing your coffee, heat your milk in the microwave for about a minute to a minute and a half. When the milk is done, allow the tea bag to steep in the milk for a few minutes. Chai tea is good for you because of it’s natural antioxidants and it has less than half of the caffeine of coffee. Pour your coffee, then add the tea/milk combination and your sweetener. Stir it all together and top with a little whipped cream and a splash of cinnamon for a healthy, tasty, warm and comforting drinkable treat.Related Article : Chai Tea…Explained

Ask any woman what food they crave most when on a diet and they’ll tell you it’s chocolate. Just for you, here is a simple, sugar free, low calorie recipe for a chocolate trifle that it sure to please!

You will need:

Sugar-free chocolate cake mix

Eggs, oil and any other ingredients on the cake mix box

2 boxes sugar-free chocolate pudding

3 cups of cold skim milk

2 tubs of sugar-free whipped cream

Sugar-free hard butterscotch candies, crushed

A clear bowl for the trifle

Bake the cake according to the directions on the cake mix. This helps explain it more. When the cakeis done, let it cool for awhile. You’ll want it completely cooled, so take it out of the pan as well. While the cake is cooling, go ahead and mix your milk and pudding together and give it a few minutes to set, whatever the box recommends time wise is best. Once the cake is cooled thoroughly, crumble half into the bottom of the bowl. Top with half the pudding then one tub of whipped cream and half the candy. Repeat the process for the second layer and you’ll have the best looking, most sinfully delicious sugar-free treat you’ve ever had.
